Anousha Payne: “Murmuratıons”

Anousha Payne (b. 1991) is a London-based artist whose practice moves fluidly between sculpture, painting, text, and sound. Murmurations, is her first solo exhibition in Turkey, taking place between May 16 and August 15, 2025, within the Byzantine cistern of Zeyrek Çinili Hamam. Responding intimately to the architecture and atmosphere of this hidden, centuries-old space, Payne has created a series of site-specific works. This collection murmurs from the cistern to you — from some of her favorite books to a light-giving peshtamal.
